Becoming a Tesla Energy Customer

If you're interested in purchasing a Tesla energy product, schedule a virtual consultation and a Tesla Advisor will walk you through our products and any questions you may have.

Waiting to Turn Your System on

If you have ordered a Tesla energy product but are awaiting installation or permission to operate (PTO) from your utility, contact your Project Advisor by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Tesla Account.
  2. Tap the ‘Question Center’ icon on the bottom-right corner of the page.
  3. Select a topic.
  4. Click ‘Contact Us.’
  5. Describe the question briefly in the text box.
  6. Click ‘Start A Chat.’

Managing Your Tesla Energy System

If you have received permission to operate (PTO) from your utility and have safely turned on your system, contact the Customer Support team through the Tesla app by following these steps:

  1. In the Tesla app, tap ‘Support’ at the bottom of your energy system home screen.
  2. On the bottom of the Support screen, tap the button to contact support.
  3. Select your topic or issue and follow the prompts.

If your system was installed directly by Tesla, you will be connected to a Customer Support agent, if available, or be prompted to send an email. An agent will follow up with an email or phone call.

If your system was installed by a third-party installer, the contact information of your installer will be displayed. Get in touch with your installer to get your concern resolved.

Note: If your system was installed by a third-party installer, you must have Tesla app version 4.21.0 or higher to access this feature.
