Get Help and Service for Your Powerwall

To get started, download the Tesla app and sign in using your Tesla Account. If you already use the app for your Tesla vehicle, register your energy products using the same email address.

Get Help

To get help from the Tesla app, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Tesla app, tap ‘Support’ at the bottom of your energy system home screen.
  2. On the bottom of the Support screen, tap the button to contact support.
  3. Select your topic or issue and follow the prompts.

If your Powerwall was installed by a third-party installer, the contact information of your installer will be displayed. Get in touch with your installer to get your concern resolved.

Note: If your Powerwall was installed by a third-party installer, you must have Tesla app version 4.21.0 or higher to access this feature.

Schedule Service

Reach out to your Tesla Certified Installer directly to schedule a service appointment. Your installer will help determine if a site visit is required.

Enable Service Mode

Your installer may need access to remotely service your Powerwall.

Before enabling Service Mode, your phone must be paired with your Powerwall. To pair your phone, open the Tesla app and complete the following steps:

  1. From the home screen, open the ‘Settings’ menu.
  2. Tap ‘Phone Pairing’ > ‘Begin Pairing.’

To enable Service Mode, complete the following steps:

  1. From the home screen, open the ‘Settings’ menu.
  2. Tap ‘Manage Access.’
  3. Toggle ‘Mobile Service Access’ to allow access to your Powerwall.

Once Service Mode is enabled, your installer will have access to your Powerwall and you will see a banner on the energy home screen. Service Mode will automatically turn off 30 days after the feature is enabled. You can always turn it off manually.

Note: To access this feature, you must have Tesla app version 4.32 or higher.
