Yes. Tesla Vinyl Wraps can be installed on your vehicle even if it’s under a lease as long as it meets the requirements. When the lease period ends, you might be asked to remove or replace damaged components of the vinyl wrap before returning the vehicle if the condition of the vinyl wrap does not meet certain cosmetic standards. This includes, but is not limited to, peeling, tears, deep scratches or other signs of neglect. Failure to do so may result in excess wear and tear charges per your leasing agreement.

After the initial service visit discussing color options, a second service visit will be scheduled for installation.

Installation times will vary. Installation may take three to four business days from the time that you drop off your vehicle.

You will be provided with a loaner vehicle while you wait to pick up your vehicle, pending availability.

No. Jambs are not included with installation.

Yes. This product is treated as “Color Paint Film” for purposes of our Parts, Body and Paint Repair Limited Warranty. Subject to the terms of that warranty document, there is a twelve-month warranty for issues in Tesla’s installation of the vinyl wrap.

If you purchase vinyl wrap from Tesla and we arrange for it to be installed by a third party, the vinyl wrap remains covered by the warranty described above, in accordance with its terms. 

Once the Tesla Vinyl Wrap is installed, we recommend hand-wash only to maintain the quality and condition of the vinyl wrap.

If the vinyl wrap is split, torn or otherwise needs replacement, schedule a service appointment through the Tesla app at the same Tesla Service Center that initially installed the vinyl wrap.

Yes. Most wrap shops should have no issue removing this vinyl wrap.

Your vehicle must be a Model 3 or Model Y vehicle produced in 2023 or later, or Cybertruck vehicle. In general, your vehicle must be free from any dents, nicks and scratches. Any irregularities will telegraph to the vinyl wrap and accentuate the irregularity. Tesla will perform a pre-installation inspection of your vehicle’s paint and may direct you to have paint correction completed before we are able to accept the vehicle for the installation of this product.
