The 2024-25 Budget has announced the extension of the first registration tax (FRT) concession arrangement for electric vehicles (EVs) till March 31, 2026. The FRT concession cap for private car (PC) owners eligible for the "One-for-One" Scheme will be adjusted to HK$172,500. This new arrangement is applicable to "One-for-One Replacement" Scheme applications or EV first registration applications submitted on or after April 1, 2024.
