Cybertruck Cantrail Replacement
Tesla has issued a voluntary recall on certain model year 2024 and 2025 Cybertruck vehicles to replace the cantrail assembly with a cantrail assembly that meets durability testing requirements.
Is my vehicle affected by this recall?
This recall includes all model year 2024 and 2025 Cybertruck vehicles manufactured from November 13, 2023 to February 27, 2025. All owners can check if their vehicle is affected by entering their VIN in either the Tesla VIN Recall Search or NHTSA VIN Recall search tools.
What is the issue and is my vehicle safe to drive?
On affected vehicles, the stainless steel panel of the cantrail assembly may delaminate at the adhesive joint, which may cause the panel to separate from the vehicle.
If the cantrail panel separates from the vehicle while in drive, it could create a road hazard for following motorists and increase the risk of injury or a collision.
What is the recall remedy and how long does it take to perform?
At no charge to the customer, Tesla will replace the cantrail assembly with one that meets durability testing requirements. Replacement of the cantrail assembly will take approximately one hour.
Do I need to make a service appointment for this recall?
No. If you own a Cybertruck affected by this recall, you may continue to drive your vehicle. Tesla will contact you to schedule a service appointment when parts become available in your region to replace the cantrail free of charge.
