Taking Delivery

Taking delivery of your new Tesla vehicle is a quick and easy experience. With Tesla Tutorial videos available right on your touchscreen, you can learn about the features and functions of your vehicle from the driver’s seat.

After placing your order, sign in to your Tesla Account to complete the required delivery tasks and prepare for delivery. The latest updates on delivery timing, VIN assignment and appointment details will be available in your Tesla Account.

Your Tesla vehicle will be available for pickup at a delivery center. Delivery dates may change.

Prior to taking delivery of your vehicle, make sure to:

1. Sign and return any applicable financing and leasing documents with your bank. Tesla will coordinate delivery upon receipt of payment, signed documents or bank confirmation.
2. If you have a trade-in vehicle, prepare it for pickup. Bring the title and registration.
3. You will receive a delivery date from Tesla, which will be confirmed by Your Tesla Advisor.

To take delivery of your Tesla vehicle at a Tesla location, follow these steps:

1. You will receive a delivery timing update from your Tesla Advisor.
2. Sign any remaining documents at the delivery center.
3. Explore your new Tesla vehicle’s features with videos.

How should I prepare for delivery?

To prepare for delivery, complete the following steps:

1. Complete all pre-delivery tasks with your Tesla Advisor.
2. If applicable, accept outstanding agreements with your financial institution.
3. Make sure you have all certified checks to pay for the final payment, registration and bring bank check if applicable.
4. Download the Tesla app, which will pair with your Tesla vehicle. You will need the Tesla app to remotely unlock and access your vehicle when taking delivery.

Your Tesla Account and your Tesla Advisor will be the source of truth for your delivery timing after placing your order. Delivery timing estimates are subject to change, and your Tesla Account will always reflect the latest details.
