Supercharging Other EVs

Select Supercharging stations are now accessible to other EV drivers in Hong Kong via the Tesla app (version 4.33 or higher). Tesla drivers can continue to use these stations as they always have, and we will be closely monitoring each site for congestion and listening to customers about their experiences.

It’s always been our ambition to open the Supercharger network to other EVs, and by doing so, encourage more drivers to go electric.

More customers using the Supercharger network enables faster expansion. Our goal is to learn and iterate quickly, while continuing to aggressively expand the network, so we can eventually welcome both Tesla and other EV drivers at every Supercharger worldwide.

If you own a Tesla vehicle, you can see the nearest Supercharger and real-time availability in the Tesla app by tapping ‘Location’ then the charging icon. If you own an EV made by another manufacturer, you can see available Superchargers by opening the Tesla app and tapping 'Find a Charger.'
We’re starting with a select number of sites so that we can review the experience, monitor congestion and assess feedback before expanding. Future sites will only be opened to other vehicles if there is available capacity.

Download the Tesla app (version 4.33 or later) for iOS or Android and create a Tesla Account.

Select ‘Charge Your EV’ and find your Supercharger site.

Add your payment method, plug-in your vehicle, select a stall and tap ‘Start Charging.’

Select ‘Stop Charging’ to complete your session.

Note: If you also own a Tesla vehicle, open the Tesla app and tap the menu in the top-right to find 'Charge Your Other EV.'
Each Supercharger post has a label with a unique identifier at its base. If you are taking the cable from post 4A, simply select post 4A in the Tesla app to begin charging.

Note: If you don’t plug in within two minutes of selecting a post, your session will time out and you’ll need to start over.
Yes. All Tesla products and services can be accessed via the Tesla app. Tesla owners can use their existing account to charge other electric vehicles.

Superchargers are pay-per-use. You can see pricing for each Supercharger site in the Tesla app. Rates may be adjusted without advance notice. Refer to the Tesla app for the latest rates at each Supercharger.

Pricing for other EV drivers reflects additional costs incurred to support Supercharging a broad range of vehicles and adjustments to our sites to accommodate these vehicles.

Certain Supercharger stations offer different rates across the day. Charging rate is determined by the plug-in time and does not adjust if pricing changes during the charging session.

Note: Supercharging credits can only be used as a payment method for charging sessions of Tesla vehicles at Superchargers sites owned by Tesla. Supercharging-related fees including idle and congestion fees still apply.
Yes. The same logic and fee structure applies to both Tesla vehicles and other EVs to help ensure stalls are open for everyone to charge. Learn more about how idle fees work.

Certain Supercharger site layouts may not be suitable for some vehicles. Do not obstruct other vehicles by parking over the lines if the cable cannot comfortably reach your vehicle.
Supercharging for other electric vehicles is only accessible for CCS-enabled vehicles. If a Supercharger post has two cables or an installed adapter, other EVs can only charge with the CCS connector. For safety reasons, using third-party adapters is prohibited. Using an AC adapter may result in damage to your vehicle. Tesla is unable to accommodate vehicles that do not fully comply with CCS communication and safety protocols, and Tesla makes no promise or guarantee that the Supercharger post is compatible with all electric vehicles. If you encounter any issues while charging your vehicle, reach out to Tesla Customer Support or your vehicle manufacturer.
