Ordering a Tesla Vehicle

Once you decide which model is right for you, you can place your order online or visit a Tesla store. The ordering process only takes a few minutes.

Schedule a test drive appointment online to experience driving a Tesla vehicle. Walk-in availability is limited, so we encourage you to schedule in advance. See how you can prepare for your appointment and what to expect for your test drive.

Design your Model 3 or Model Y online. When placing your order, you will pay a one-time, non-refundable order deposit with a credit card.

After your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email with the order agreement. A Tesla Advisor will reach out to you and keep you up to date about delivery timing.

You can choose to purchase your vehicle with financing. You may also be able to trade in your current vehicle and apply the trade-in value toward your new Tesla vehicle purchase.

Prior to your delivery date, confirm your payment method with your Tesla Advisor and pay the amount due in your Tesla Account. We accept wire transfer for final payment. Check, cash deposit and credit card are not accepted.

Your new Tesla vehicle may be eligible for EV incentives. Check with your Tesla Advisor for more information.

After placing your order, download the Tesla app. Sign in with the same email address and password you used to place your order. In the app, follow the prompts to provide your information.

Review your plan for charging your vehicle at home and order charging accessories.

To prepare for delivery day and ensure you have a seamless experience, we recommend completing all pre-delivery tasks in advance, such as submitting your insurance details, final payment, trade-in payoff amounts and other necessary documents prior to your appointment.
