What to Expect
The Dojo supercomputing team is seeking a hands-on PCBA Technician to bring up systems for research and development. The successful candidate will assist electrical engineers in the development, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems, and equipment in a datace environment. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, semiconductors, and low and high-voltage circuit analysis. You will also be responsible for building custom wire harnesses and safety systems for benchtop testing.
What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and equipment
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems, using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment
  • Develop and implement test procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
  • Build and specify electrical components for low and high-voltage circuits
  • Repair and maintain printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other electronic components, including: soldering and desoldering components, replacing faulty components, troubleshooting and diagnosing PCB faults, and using PCB repair software and equipment
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong understanding of Ohms law and its applications in circuit analysis
  • Experience with electrical testing and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators
  • Experience constructing circuits using a breadboard
  • Ability to use hand tools to construct circuits following industry standards and regulations, such as OSHA and IEEE
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • 2-5 years of experience as an electrical engineering technician or in a related field
  • Experience with programming languages, such as C++, Python, or Arduino
  • Familiarity with electrical circuit simulation software, such as SPICE or Multisim
  • Knowledgeable of microcontrollers and embedded systems
  • Understanding of the OSI model and optical transceivers

    Expected Compensation

    $24.40 - $56.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
